The combination of all aspects of ServantsEdge makes for an experience that is truly transforming.
  • The retreat aspect allows you to get away from the business and concerns of ministry, family and schedules.
  • The personal spiritual focus helps you get back to your very fundamental relationship with the Lord.
  • The learning context are more experiential and helps apply sound practices to bring you and your congregation to where God wants to take you.
  • The worship focus allows the freedom of corporate worship where you are a participant and not the leader.
  • The peer-group focus provides a learning and  life-changing accountability experience with those who are your peers.

WEEK ONE:
Change yourself before changing others - I can only lead others to the extent that I’m following Christ myself.
  1.   To heighten my awareness of the tendency to sacrifice my personal intimacy with Christ (intentionally spending time with Him) for ministry (what we do for Him).

  2.   To deepen my spiritual walk with Christ through the ongoing practice of the Spiritual Disciplines in my life.

  3.   To develop a healthy balance between connecting with Him, responding to Him, and journeying with Him in transparent relationships.

WEEK TWO:
Change is difficult and leading permanent change is extremely difficult. Most pastors and spiritual leaders end up throwing up their hands resigned to the compromise that “this is the way things are” or intentionally (or forcibly) leaving their present ministry and looking for a “better” place to lead change. There is another option – a better option. Week 2 of ServantsEdge focuses on engaging and learning the skill and art of leading change through quality biblical instruction, dynamic group interaction, prayer and personal reflection and individualized practical projects. The two prime objectives of Week 2 are:
  1.   To train spiritual leaders in how to make genuine disciples of Jesus and not to settle for mere members. (The Ultimate Goal of all Spiritual Leaders!)

  2.   To equip spiritual leaders with the tools necessary to lead their church (ministry) through major (or minor) change of any kind, without that change being them leaving their ministry. (A Practical Goal Needed by all Spiritual Leaders!)

WEEK THREE:
Seeking God’s vision for your community while leading your church (ministry) to grow can seem impossible at times. Just having enough leaders to teach and lead in programs can take all your time in energy. How do you lead your church to love and impact the community around you? Week 3 focuses on embracing the larger Kingdom of God above growing your church.

  1.   To train spiritual leaders to seek God’s kingdom above growing their church (ministry).

  2.   To guide spiritual leaders to develop kingdom plans that will impact and reach their communities for Christ.
